Choose the substrate for the job
Foam board is lightweight and suited to indoor presentations and displays. Coroplast is a corrugated plastic option for lightweight outdoor or temporary signage; flute direction matters for structure and finishing. Gatorfoam is the premium rigid option when dimensional stability is more important.
Fat Penguin publishes each active 48 × 96 material and thickness as its own crawlable product route. Current board prices remain unchanged until landed costs are re-verified.
Design at final size
Full-sheet artwork is large. Set the document to the intended output ratio, preserve vector elements where possible, and verify raster resolution at final size. If a standee or shaped display needs contour cutting, make the transparent cut intent unambiguous and leave critical text away from the edge.
The proof should name material, thickness, size, orientation, and finishing intent. Those facts travel with checkout and production metadata instead of being inferred from a thumbnail.
