Custom Cups for a Coffee Shop: Choosing Size and Rim

For iced coffee and cold brew, the 16 oz and 12 oz PET cups on the 98 mm rim are the sizes the catalog describes for those drinks.

Pick the size by drink

For iced coffee, the catalog describes the 16 oz cup on the 98 mm rim. For cold brew, it describes the 12 oz cup on the 98 mm rim. Both are clear PET cups for cold drinks. The catalog does not list a hot-drink cup, so none of these pages fits hot coffee.

Other sizes cover other pours. The 9 oz cup is a compact sample cup, and the 20 oz cup is a large cold beverage cup on the 98 mm rim. The 24 oz cup is an extra-large cold cup. The 32 oz car cup is its own format on a 107 mm rim.

Match the rim to your lids

The rim sets which lid fits, and capacity alone does not. A 12 oz cup on a 92 mm rim and a 12 oz cup on a 98 mm rim are different products. Ask your lid supplier for its rim size before you pick a cup page. In this catalog the 98 mm rim covers the 9, 12, 16, 20, and 24 oz cups, the 92 mm rim is offered on the 9 and 12 oz cups only, and the 32 oz cups use 107 mm.

Plan the run before you ask for a quote

Cups are bulk orders only. A 16 oz run starts at 30 cases, which is 30,000 cups, for 1 or 2 colors, and at 50 cases, which is 50,000 cups, for 3 to 6 colors. There are no sub-case orders, so a coffee shop needs to plan a run of that size. Send the cup size, rim, color count, and case estimate with the artwork when you request a quote.
