Custom Printed Cups: Minimum Order Explained

The minimum order

The minimum for a custom printed PET cup order is 30 cases for 1 or 2 print colors, and 50 cases for 3 to 6 print colors. Fat Penguin takes bulk cup orders only: there are no individual custom cups and no sub-case orders.

A case holds 1,000 cups in the 9 oz, 12 oz, 16 oz, and 20 oz sizes, 600 cups in the 24 oz size, and 300 cups in the 32 oz size. So 30 cases is 30,000 cups of 16 oz, or 9,000 cups of 32 oz. Each cup page shows its own case size and minimum.

What the minimum does not include

The minimum is the smallest run, not the total. A quote depends on case volume, the number of print colors, and the delivery destination. Each print color and each cup size adds a plate charge. Design assistance and a custom mold are quoted only when the job needs them. Freight moves by pallet and is confirmed before invoicing.

Next-week production is not available for custom cups. Timing depends on artwork readiness, quantity, proof approval, and freight, and the quote states it before invoicing.

How to request a quote

Choose the exact cup size and rim, estimate the number of cases, and give the delivery postal code. Upload your artwork in the designer or send it through quick order. A person reviews the file before production, including the color count and any fine detail.
